This Website is not about just selling Computer Software. It's the Research we do for you

We need to know --  Who is the Publisher? Where is the Publisher Located? What Software do they Publish? Is the Software Legitimate or Scamware? What is the Cost of the Software? What about Upgrades to the Software?

Our website provides the information that a customer should want before buying Software. The Home Page has a Directory of the Services we provide. The SiteMap also has Links to each individual page on the website.
We have a Directory of Software Publishers / Distributors. The Directory provides a Link to the Publisher and a brief description of the Software published.

You can buy the software directly from the Publishers website {or} We also provide a page on the website with Links to Software Resellers. You can search this page for lower prices from Software Resellers because most times Resellers provide lower prices than the Publisher.
The Software Reseller Page has a section where we provide Links to Software Price Comparison websites. These websites will compare the price of the Software with about a dozen Resellers, sometimes with the shipping cost displayed too.

2009 - We are providing Links to Wikipedia.org { the free encyclopedia } - this gives more detailed information on the Software Publisher and Developer as well as the software they publish. We even provide information on Software Companies that have faded into History. Sometimes you can still find their products on the Web, or their History useful.

2008 - What are we doing today? - Updating the MyLinks Page {My Favorite Computer Related Websites}. This is the page with links to websites we use to increase our knowledge base about computers.

2004 - Website address changed to http://www.goofmaster.com
The name was changed to something our customers might remember easier. And just because I like it better than slatercompany.com (how do you spell that?). Do not forget to bookmark / favorite the website

2002 - The Parent Company name was changed from Housman Enterprises to The Slater Group Company. The name was changed when David changed his last name from Housman to Slater - (Something about it being his father's fault). The web address was changed to - http://www.slatercompany.com

1996 - Due to family illness, the store was closed. The family worked in the store. We just did not have the time to do it right.
From the home office, David switched emphasis on selling software to researching software. We added another website using AOL

1995 - Then came the World Wide Web - also known as the Internet
David then started this website - web address was http://www.housman.com
All the knowledge that has been acquired about software availability is here to assist you in locating and researching software

1995 - David opened a store selling computer software. A lot of money was spent on advertising the "Store". A lot of money was spent on buying software to sell - but that's not what the customers wanted ------
Most of the calls to the store were customers searching for a particular software application not available in the local store, or they wanted information on what software would work best for the business they were in. We spent more time in researching than selling software

1993 - David went shopping for software to put on the huge hard drive. The local Software Store did not have what David wanted. In the search for the software, David came upon the idea of becoming a software reseller himself. David's Software Sales was started

1992 - David bought his first Computer - 486SX Special with a 120mb Hard Drive and 4mb of RAM - a super fast 2400baud modem too
